Rehabilitation of public spaces in the village of Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, to organize, enhance and maintain a village that is popular with tourists and a heritage site. Winner of the 2008 Moniteur and Ministère de l'Equipement urban planning trophy.

How do you reclaim a village's public space while capturing the economic benefits of a Cathar heritage site ? Far from being exclusive, the public space must provide meaning and a link between everyday rural use, welcoming visitors and showcasing the village's remarkable built heritage.

The method used for this project, with its modest, controlled budget, was first to share a flexible mobility strategy, then to define the needs of local residents and shopkeepers, and finally to design the public space.
Particular attention was paid to the choice of materials used, their assembly and detailing, in a resolutely contemporary and long-lasting spirit.
